The CANH Fiddlehead is a Limited Production puro crafted exclusively for the Retail Members of the Cigar Association of New Hampshire by Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust. A significant portion of the proceeds are being contributed by both the Maker and all the Purveyors to support our organization’s efforts to ensure the rights of our State’s cigar smoking citizens, to preserve the legal standing as currently being the only State that recognizes the inherent differences between premium handmade cigars vs. all other tobacco products, and to continue to protect the tax-free status for handmade cigars sold within the Great State of New Hampshire. We are an island of ‘Common Sense Policies’ in a sea of high taxation and burdensome regulations enacted by all of the other States that surround us. When you light a CANH ‘Fiddlehead’ you will not only be enjoying an exquisite cigar, you will be helping us to protect our freedoms.

    Fiddlehead and customer service

First time buying the Fiddlehead and it definitely lived up to the hype, phenomenal cigar! Also, first time ordering from Tobacco Haven and I had some online trouble but they took it upon themselves to reach out and say the issue was resolved so I definitely appreciate their customer service!

    2026 CAHN Fiddlehead Review

Posted by Thomas Paine on 14th May 2026

Cold draw very mild. Faint sweetness like you’d get with a sugar cookie. First third, great smoke output. Draw is slightly on the tight side but not in a bad way. Opens mild medium strength. Flavors are also mild and earthy with no pepper on the draw but a good amount of white pepper on the retrohale. Ash held on the entire third. Burn line a little wavy but nothing that needs a touch up. Second third the flavors gain a little strength but are not overpowering in any way. I’m getting a hint of dark cocoa, cedar and earth. I’m still getting a bit of sweetness but I’m pairing it with my morning coffee so not sure if it’s me or the cigar. Burn line is now razor sharp and the retro still has hints of white pepper and faint baking spices. The finish is slightly dry almost powdery. Strength is pushing toward medium now. So far this is very un-Dunbarton like in the way that it’s not slapping me like many of Steve Saka cigars typically do. It’s a very enjoyable relaxing cigar. The type of cigar that would be great on a day that the fish aren’t biting. The biggest change in the final third is I’m getting some cinnamon on the retro and the finish with hints of sweet cream. Earth and cedar are the dominant flavors on the draw. The burn line is still straight as an arrow and the draw itself has stayed consistent. Very enjoyable smoke. If you’re in New Hampshire I’d run to your local B&M as these sold out online in what seemed like minutes. I was able to get a box from Tobacco Haven and I’m happy I did. Score this one a 93!
